Where are you moving?

From Barrie, we serve communities across a wide stretch of Ontario, well beyond Simcoe County. Delivery and pickup are available up to 150 km driving distance from our base. The first 60 km of each trip is included; beyond that, it is $0.50 per additional kilometre for each trip, up to 150 km. Delivery and pickup are billed separately, even when they use the same address.

How long is a tote rental?

Every package includes 14 days. Extra-week pricing is shown with each package and in the booking total before checkout.

Do I need to be moving to rent totes?

ToteRove rentals work for home moves, renovations, staging, decluttering and other short-term storage projects.

Can pickup be at my new address?

The booking flow asks for a separate pickup town so this can be confirmed for moves with different drop-off and collection locations. Availability and any added travel fee should be confirmed before booking.

What if I don’t know how many totes I need?

Use the home-size guide above as a starting point. The booking guide also lets you ask for help choosing. You can adjust this recommendation to fit actual tote capacity and customer feedback.

Are the totes cleaned between rentals?

Yes. Totes are cleaned and inspected before each rental, and every package includes a free room-by-room packing checklist.

Are delivery and pickup included?

We serve communities beyond Simcoe County, up to 150 km driving distance from Barrie. The first 60 km is included for each trip; beyond that, each additional kilometre costs $0.50, with delivery and pickup charged separately. 13% HST applies to package, extension and travel charges.

ToteRove Rental Agreement

DRAFT ONLY — This concept has not been reviewed by an Ontario lawyer and is not ready to govern real orders. Before launch, confirm the legal business name, address, contact details, item-by-item prices, HST setup, delivery radius, and specific replacement amounts for totes and included equipment. These proposed terms have not been legally reviewed. The final order confirmation must include those details and a copy of the agreement.

1. The rental order

This agreement is between the customer named in the order confirmation and the ToteRove business identified there (the “Supplier”). The final order confirmation forms part of the agreement and must state the tote count and size, included equipment, delivery and pickup addresses and dates, 14-day rental price, any approved extension, 13% HST on all transaction charges, and total payable.

2. Clear prices and payment

No customer will be asked to accept or pay until the Supplier displays an itemized final total, including 13% HST on all transaction charges and any disclosed charge that applies. Sample website prices are not a binding offer. An extension is available only if requested, approved, and priced before the rental ends. The Supplier will not apply an undisclosed fee or use a stored payment method for an additional charge without clear disclosure and the customer’s authorization.

3. Dates, delivery and pickup

The rental begins on the delivery date and ends on the pickup date shown in the confirmed order, normally after 14 calendar days. The customer will provide safe access and make empty totes available at the agreed pickup place and time. Any change to either date, address, or pickup plan must be agreed in writing. Delivery and pickup are available up to 150 km driving distance from the Supplier’s Barrie base. The first 60 km per trip is included; each additional kilometre costs $0.50 for that trip. Delivery and pickup trips are billed separately, including when they use the same address. No trip beyond 150 km driving distance is available. The exact driving distance and charge for each address will be shown before acceptance.

4. Customer care and permitted use

Totes and included rental equipment remain the Supplier’s property. The customer will use them for ordinary household packing or storage, follow reasonable safe-use instructions, take reasonable care, and return them empty and reasonably clean. Normal wear from ordinary use is expected. Totes must not be cut, drilled, painted, or otherwise altered, and must not be used for unlawful, hazardous, or incompatible materials.

5. Extensions, late returns and missed pickup

The customer may request an extension before the agreed pickup date. An extension is subject to availability and takes effect when the Supplier confirms it in writing. The published package extension rate applies for each additional seven-day period, plus applicable HST. If the totes are not empty and ready at the agreed pickup time and the rental continues, the same weekly extension rate applies for each additional seven-day period; no separate late penalty is added. The Supplier will send an itemized payment request for any additional rental or agreed extra pickup trip. No additional amount will be automatically charged to the customer’s card. Any extra pickup trip and its price must be disclosed and agreed before the trip is arranged.

6. Loss, damage and cleaning

Totes and included equipment are cleaned and inspected before each rental. The customer is not responsible for normal wear, ordinary marks, or routine cleaning after normal use. If an item is missing or damaged beyond normal wear, the Supplier may request a reasonable, documented repair cost or replacement cost that takes the item’s age and condition into account. The Supplier will provide an itemized explanation and available photos. Unusually heavy cleaning may be charged only for documented extra cleaning costs, with an itemized explanation; no added penalty or automatic card charge applies. Specific replacement amounts for totes and included equipment will be published before real orders are accepted.

7. Cancellations, refunds and consumer rights

If the customer cancels before the totes are delivered, the Supplier will refund the full amount paid. If the Supplier cannot provide the rental, the Supplier will refund the full amount paid. The 14-day package price is not reduced if the customer returns the totes early. An extension cancelled before it begins will be refunded in full; an extension already underway is not prorated. Refunds will be processed manually through Stripe to the original payment method within the time required by law. The Supplier will not automatically charge the customer’s card for an additional amount. Nothing in this agreement removes or limits rights or remedies provided by Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable law. If the law gives a customer a right to cancel or a refund, that right applies even if another term appears inconsistent.

8. Safety and liability

The customer will use safe lifting and stacking practices and will pack and protect personal contents. Nothing in this agreement excludes responsibility or liability where that exclusion is not permitted by law, or limits a non-waivable consumer right. The Supplier remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law.

9. Privacy and order records

Customer information may be used to arrange the rental, delivery, pickup, payment, support, and legal recordkeeping, and should be handled under the Supplier’s published privacy notice. The Supplier will keep the accepted order record and deliver the customer a written copy of the agreement within 15 days, in a form the customer can retain and access later, as required by the applicable Ontario rules.

10. Governing law and agreement precedence

Ontario law and the applicable laws of Canada govern this agreement. If a term conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the mandatory right prevails. The confirmed order and this agreement make up the rental terms; any change must be communicated to the customer and accepted before it applies.
